The competent court has set October 15 as the date for the trial of Jordanian blogger Suzy, who faces charges of misusing social media platforms and violating Egyptian family and moral values through the publication of indecent content.
Earlier, the New Cairo Court ordered a 45-day detention renewal for the influencer pending investigations into accusations of sharing inappropriate and immoral videos on social media.
Security forces arrested Suzy at her residence in New Cairo after she allegedly posted videos containing indecent language and scenes considered offensive to public morals and contrary to the Cybercrime Law.
Investigations also revealed that authorities had previously banned Suzy and Alyaa Qamroun from traveling, as inquiries continue into the profits generated from their online content and potential links to money laundering.
The Public Prosecution continues its investigations to uncover the full details of the case and enforce the law against those spreading immoral content online, in an effort to preserve family values within Egyptian society.
