In a swift security operation, authorities apprehended the manager of a travel company in Ain Shams, Cairo, after confirming her involvement in defrauding citizens wishing to perform Hajj and Umrah.
Investigations revealed that the company operated without a license. The manager exploited pilgrims’ intentions, collecting money for supposedly discounted travel visas, and promoted these services via social media to deceive clients.
Upon executing legal procedures, the suspect was seized along with a mobile phone containing digital evidence of her criminal activities.
During questioning, she admitted to defrauding her victims, with investigations confirming she obtained approximately one million Egyptian pounds from 11 citizens.
Legal measures were taken, and the case was referred to the competent authorities for investigation and accountability of all involved in the criminal activity.
