Trader of Immoral Tools Arrested in Alexandria
Security authorities in Alexandria apprehended a person involved in promoting and selling tools used for immoral purposes through social media, as part of the Interior Ministry’s efforts to combat cybercrimes.
Alexandria security forces successfully arrested an individual promoting and selling legally prohibited tools and products used for immoral purposes, aiming to gain illegal profits. This comes within the framework of the Interior Ministry’s efforts to confront emerging crimes on digital platforms.
Investigations by the General Department for the Protection of Morals revealed that the suspect created and managed social media pages to advertise these prohibited tools in exchange for money from interested buyers.
After verifying the information and collecting necessary evidence, legal procedures were carried out in coordination with relevant authorities. The suspect was arrested in Karmooz Police Department in Alexandria, with a quantity of the prohibited tools in his possession.
Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted his criminal activities in detail, acknowledging that he used social media platforms to reach clients while attempting to evade law enforcement oversight.
All legal procedures have been followed, and the suspect was referred to the competent investigative authorities for prosecution according to the law.
