A tragic incident occurred in Nasr City when a woman ran over a 31-year-old man, Ahmed Shaaban, under her car wheels while he tried to chase her after she fled without paying for chocolate purchases worth 12,000 EGP from a local shop.
The victim’s family explained that Ahmed, a resident of Al-Maasara and employee at the shop, had assisted the woman by placing her items in her car with the agreement she would pay later. She left the shop without settling the bill.
Ahmed tried to follow her to protect his workplace and income, but was run over and succumbed to his injuries before any help could arrive.
Authorities arrested the woman and brought her to the police station, where she was detained for four days pending further investigation and legal procedures.
