The Banha Criminal Court on Sunday began the trial of six suspects in a shocking case involving the forced humiliation of a young man, “Islam Mohamed,” in Mit Asim, Qalyubia.
Investigations revealed that on February 11, 2026, the suspects broke into the victim’s home, threatened him and his family, and forced him to wear women’s clothing, causing severe psychological and physical distress.
Charges also include kidnapping the victim using force and threats, detaining him away from his family while wielding knives and other weapons, with two female accomplices aiding in the crimes.
Additionally, the suspects assaulted the victim’s dignity by photographing him in indecent positions without consent and distributing the images and videos on social media, violating his privacy and family values.
During interrogations, the suspects admitted planning to punish and publicly humiliate the victim to prevent his continued relationship with one of their relatives, causing injuries such as bruises and abrasions.
