Traffic was temporarily disrupted in 6th of October City after a heavy transport truck overturned on the Mall of Egypt bridge, leading to significant congestion in the area.
Emergency services received a report of the accident and security forces immediately moved to the scene to assess the situation. Initial investigations revealed that the driver lost control of the steering wheel while driving, causing the fully loaded truck to overturn on its side.
Preliminary findings indicated that excessive speed was the primary cause of the accident, particularly given the vehicle’s heavy load, which made it difficult for the driver to regain control.
Traffic authorities deployed cranes and recovery equipment to remove the overturned truck and gradually reopen the road. Legal procedures have been initiated in connection with the incident.
