A surprising theft occurred in Al-Haram, Giza, where two children stole money and jewelry from a merchant who had hired them to clean his apartment.

Investigations revealed that the merchant had trusted the children with a temporary cleaning task inside his home, unaware they would exploit this trust. During the cleaning, the children took 400,000 EGP and 150 grams of gold, then fled.

After the merchant reported the incident, authorities quickly moved in, identified the children, and apprehended them. During questioning, the children confessed, stating they had taken advantage of the absence of the merchant in certain rooms to steal the valuables.

The police confirmed that all legal measures were taken and the recovered money and jewelry were secured. Investigations continue to determine what motivated the children to commit the crime and whether others were involved.
