Two Drivers Arrested for Stealing Camera Equipment from a Ride-Hailing Car in Cairo

Egypt’s Ministry of Interior uncovered the details of a viral post showing a man claiming his camera bag was stolen from a ride-hailing car in Cairo.
After an immediate investigation, police identified and arrested the two perpetrators — both drivers residing in Cairo — and recovered the stolen items, which included a professional camera and various filming accessories.
During questioning, one of the suspects confessed to committing the theft while driving the victim, in coordination with another individual who planned to sell the stolen equipment. All legal procedures have been taken, and the public prosecution is overseeing the investigation.
In a separate case, police in Ismailia arrested an employee accused of embezzling 2 million EGP from the company where he worked.

An official report was filed, and authorities have begun investigating both cases to ensure justice is served.
