Security authorities revealed the details of a video circulating on social media showing two individuals riding a motorcycle attempting to rob a passerby on the Ring Road in Giza, before fleeing against the traffic flow.
Following investigations and identification efforts, security forces managed to locate and seize the motorcycle seen in the footage, along with its two riders, both of whom have prior criminal records and reside in Giza.
Upon interrogation, the suspects admitted to attempting to snatch a mobile phone from a person who was stopped on the road, using a grab-and-run method. However, they failed to complete the theft and were surprised when someone recorded them, prompting them to cover their faces and escape against traffic.
The motorcycle was confiscated, and legal procedures were taken against the suspects as part of ongoing efforts to track down criminal activity and maintain public safety.
