Kareem El-Bahiri, lawyer for the victims, stated that investigations into Amir El Helaly, known as the “Car Defrauder,” confirmed the validity of allegations regarding fraud and embezzlement of citizens’ funds.
He explained that the investigation findings were consistent with victims’ statements and submitted documents, noting that the accused received large sums from citizens claiming to import cars through “LeMans Group,” without fulfilling contracts or returning funds.
The victims’ lawyer added that authorities are re-interrogating the accused to take necessary legal measures in several new cases recently added to the files.
