A religious authority explained that the primary responsibility of the head of the household is to consistently offer guidance using positive and meaningful approaches, such as leading by example, gentle reminders, and encouraging words about faith and spirituality.

It was clarified that if family members persist in neglecting prayer despite sincere efforts, the parent or spouse is not held accountable, as long as they continue advising and praying for their guidance.

Regarding discipline, it was emphasized that references to physical discipline in religious texts are often misunderstood. The intended meaning is a very light, symbolic form of correction that does not cause harm or pain, and is not meant to promote violence.

This approach is limited to specific cases involving children who can understand, and only when absolutely necessary as a last resort—not as an obligation.

As for wives, adult children, or very young children, any form of physical discipline is not permissible, as it contradicts proper upbringing and may lead to negative outcomes.

The guidance concluded by stressing that patience, compassion, and consistent encouragement are the most effective ways to inspire faith, as true guidance comes through wisdom and kindness.
