Public interest often rises around religious rulings connected to belief and social traditions. In a recent set of clarifications, Dar Al-Ifta Egypt addressed several key issues that sparked widespread discussion.

Regarding the vision of Allah, the institution confirmed that seeing Allah in the afterlife is permissible and affirmed by mainstream Sunni belief, while in worldly life it remains a matter of scholarly interpretation under specific circumstances, with full emphasis on God’s transcendence beyond physical resemblance.

On social customs, Dar Al-Ifta stated that celebrating Sham El-Nessim and consuming traditional foods such as salted fish is religiously permissible, as it is considered a cultural practice with no religious rituals involved, provided that health guidelines are followed and no harm is caused.

The institution also emphasized that caring for orphans is among the most virtuous deeds in Islam, and that homes hosting and honoring orphans are among the most beloved to Allah, with clear guidelines ensuring proper protection and welfare of the child under care.

These rulings reflect Islam’s balance between social customs and religious principles, ensuring both personal freedom and ethical responsibility.
