تفسير حديث رضا الرب في رضا الوالدين وأهمية برهما

Dr. Ali Gomaa provided a profound explanation of the prophetic saying: “God’s pleasure lies in the pleasure of the parent, and His anger lies in their anger,” highlighting the great status of parents in Islam.

He explained that honoring and obeying parents is not merely a social duty, but an act of worship through which a person draws closer to God. Those who treat their parents with kindness and respect earn divine pleasure, while neglect or disobedience may lead to serious consequences.

The explanation emphasized that this ruling applies even more strongly to the mother, given her elevated position in Islamic teachings.

It was also clarified that obedience to parents is conditional upon righteousness. If a parent commands something that contradicts religious teachings, obedience in that matter is not required, as obedience to God takes precedence over all.

The discussion further highlighted the many benefits of honoring parents, including blessings in life and provision, answered prayers, elevated status, and a path to paradise, along with relief from hardship and distress.

On the other hand, disobedience to parents is considered a major sin, carrying severe warnings, including loss of blessings, unanswered prayers, and even punishment in this life before the hereafter.

The explanation concluded by stressing that maintaining a good relationship with parents is a powerful gateway to mercy, peace, and ultimate success.
