The Ministry of Awqaf has published the text of the upcoming Friday sermon through its digital platform, titled “Say Reform for Them is Better,” while the second sermon focuses on “warning against the dangers of rumors,” delivering important religious and social messages.
The first sermon emphasizes the importance of caring for orphans and treating them with kindness, noting that sponsoring an orphan is among the greatest acts of worship that reflect compassion and moral refinement. It also highlights that orphans are a trust that must be protected and supported within society.
The sermon further explains that reforming the affairs of orphans includes education, upbringing, and emotional care, calling for treating them as brothers in faith and children in compassion, thereby strengthening social cohesion and mutual support.
It also strongly warns against misusing or unlawfully consuming the property of orphans, describing such actions as a major sin that carries severe consequences. The sermon stresses that protecting their wealth is a moral and religious duty, and that blessings come from safeguarding wealth rather than violating it.
In addition, the sermon highlights the human and spiritual impact of caring for orphans, such as showing kindness and comforting them, noting that such simple acts carry great reward and help soften hearts and promote mercy within society.
The second sermon focuses on the serious threat posed by rumors, explaining how they can destabilize communities, spread distrust, and weaken social bonds.
It calls for verifying information before sharing it, in line with Islamic teachings that emphasize truthfulness and caution in transmitting news, warning that spreading unverified information may lead to falsehood and wrongdoing.
The sermon concludes by stressing that words carry responsibility, and their proper use contributes to building society, while misuse can lead to chaos and instability, urging adherence to ethical and religious values in communication.
