Regarding women traveling, some scholars maintain that a guardian—such as a close relative or husband—is required. Others allow travel if the woman is accompanied by a trustworthy group known for good character and integrity.

Another opinion permits a woman to travel alone for Hajj if she feels safe and secure, and this view has been adopted in certain rulings, provided that travel regulations and laws are respected.

As for borrowing money for Hajj, it has been clarified that the pilgrimage remains valid as long as all its essential conditions and pillars are fulfilled, even if funded through a loan. Visiting the Prophet’s city is considered recommended but not obligatory for the validity of Hajj.

The rulings also stress the importance of repaying debts to rightful owners or their heirs, especially in cases where the lender has passed away, ensuring fair distribution according to inheritance laws.

It is further emphasized that borrowing is permissible if the person is capable of repayment without harming their financial responsibilities toward their family. Additionally, helping others perform Hajj is considered a highly rewarding act.
