Apple has officially introduced the iPad Pro 2025, marking a significant upgrade focused on performance, AI processing, and connectivity enhancements, while retaining its elegant and slim design.
Processor & Chipset
The new iPad Pro is equipped with the M5 chip, bringing advanced CPU and GPU capabilities alongside an enhanced neural engine to support AI workloads. Lower-tier models (256GB & 512GB) feature a 9-core CPU, while the 1TB and 2TB variants include a 10-core CPU for added performance. All versions use a 10-core GPU.
According to Apple, the 3D rendering performance with ray tracing is up to 1.5× faster than the previous generation, and AI tasks can be boosted by 3.5× or more in some cases.
Display & Design
The iPad Pro 2025 comes in two sizes: an 11-inch OLED display at 2420×1668 resolution, and a 13-inch OLED at 2752×2064 resolution. Both feature a 120Hz refresh rate, True Tone, and wide P3 color support, with peak HDR brightness up to 1600 nits.
The body remains ultra-thin, with some versions measuring roughly 5.1 mm in thickness.
Memory & Storage
Configurations include 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. Entry models start with 12GB unified memory, while higher-tier models get 16GB.
Cameras & Media
The rear camera is a 12MP sensor paired with a LiDAR scanner for AR capabilities, along with ProRes video support. The front also features a 12MP sensor with Center Stage.
Connectivity & Wireless Features
Cellular models use the C1X modem for 5G, while Wi-Fi models adopt the N1 chip supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
