Smarter, More Personal, and Collaborative AI
According to Mustafa Suleyman, Microsoft’s Head of AI, the new Copilot “marks a fundamental shift in the way AI assists people.”
Key features include:
Long-Term Memory: Copilot can now remember personal details like anniversaries or fitness goals and recall them in future conversations. Users have full control to update or delete this information at any time.
Group Collaboration: The new AI Group Sessions feature allows up to 32 participants to collaborate in real-time within a shared Copilot space — turning the assistant into a dynamic teamwork hub.
Unified Search and Smarter Integration
The update introduces Copilot Search, merging traditional search results with AI-generated insights for faster, more reliable answers.
It also connects seamlessly with OneDrive, Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar, enabling cross-platform searches using natural language.
Deeper Integration with Edge and Windows
In Edge, Copilot evolves into what Microsoft calls an “intelligent browser,” capable — with user consent — of summarizing open tabs, performing actions like booking hotels, or filling out online forms.
A new voice navigation mode allows hands-free browsing for a more accessible experience.
Advanced Learning and Health Tools
Microsoft also introduced:
Live Learning, a Socratic-style voice tutoring system that helps users grasp complex concepts interactively.
Copilot Health, powered by verified medical resources, offering trustworthy health guidance directly within the app.
More Human Conversations
A new animated persona named “Miko” brings visual interaction to voice chats, while a “Real Talk” conversation mode provides natural, adaptive dialogue that reflects user preferences.
Availability
The new Copilot features are rolling out first in the U.S., with expansions planned for the U.K., Canada, and other markets soon. Some features will require a Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or Premium subscription.
