Samsung is preparing to roll out One UI 8.5 based on Android 15, introducing a host of refinements — most notably, a new intelligent notification system inspired by Apple’s iOS. The feature aims to solve the long-standing issue of cluttered notifications on Galaxy devices.
Feature Overview
The new feature automatically groups notifications by category or source, prioritizing the most relevant alerts while minimizing less important ones into collapsible sections.
An AI-powered summary system will also provide a quick glance at key details within a notification, similar to iOS’s smart summaries, ensuring users get the information they need without distractions.
How It Works
Notifications are analyzed by app type, source, and importance.
The AI engine learns user behavior to set smart priorities.
Users can customize layout, grouping, and time-based filters.
The refreshed UI integrates smoother animations and modern visuals aligned with One UI’s design identity.
Supported Devices
The feature will debut on Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6, before gradually expanding to other Galaxy models.
