The first football team of Al Ahly SC arrived on Monday morning in New Jersey, USA, as part of their serious preparations for a major clash against Brazil’s Palmeiras in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, hosted in the United States.

The club’s administrative and technical staff continue to finalize all logistical and organizational details regarding the team's accommodation and transportation, aiming to provide the highest levels of comfort and focus for the players during the tournament.

In this context, it has been learned that Al Ahly submitted an official request to FIFA to provide additional security for the team’s accommodation in New Jersey, in coordination with the tournament’s organizing committee—a request that FIFA approved immediately upon the team’s arrival.
This move comes in light of expected large gatherings of the Egyptian and Arab communities in New Jersey, which is known as one of the largest Arab population centers in the United States. Al Ahly management seeks to ensure a calm environment for the team and maintain player privacy, away from crowd pressure or disturbances, thus preserving their concentration throughout the tournament.

Under the new arrangements, the team’s residence will be subject to strict security measures, with increased surveillance around the hotel and designated access zones to prevent crowding or any disruption that could affect the delegation’s stability.

On the technical front, the team is conducting daily training sessions at facilities near the hotel, under the supervision of the coaching staff and in the presence of the medical and administrative teams, as part of the preparatory program designed for the second and third rounds of the tournament.
Al Ahly is scheduled to face Palmeiras of Brazil and FC Porto of Portugal consecutively in New Jersey, following their opening match, which ended in a goalless draw against Inter Miami in Miami.

The club is aiming for positive results to boost its chances of advancing to the later stages of the tournament, especially with the expected strong support from the Egyptian and Arab communities in the U.S., who have consistently been a vital force for the Red Devils in international competitions.
