Speaking to Karim Ramzy on the “Le’ba w El Tania” program on Mega FM Radio, Ghareeb said that Zamalek had taken the necessary measures against the player because he had not returned to Cairo or joined the team.
🏹 Meeting with Bezerra’s Agent and Lawyer
Maher Ghareeb explained that Zamalek held a Zoom meeting with Juan Bezerra’s agent and lawyer, during which the player’s representatives requested discussions over the offer from Shabab Al Ahli Dubai and his potential departure from the club.
He added that Zamalek’s response was clear, stressing the need for Bezerra to return to Cairo first before entering any official discussions regarding the offer or the possibility of his departure.
Ghareeb also stated that there are currently no discussions about increasing Bezerra’s salary, emphasizing that the player is being treated like the rest of the Zamalek squad and that Bezerra is the biggest loser from the current dispute.
⚽ Zamalek Could Suffer a Technical Loss
The Zamalek media department head acknowledged that the club could suffer a technical loss if Bezerra leaves, particularly because he was among the best players in the Egyptian Premier League last season.
He explained that Zamalek does not want to accuse anyone regarding the club’s financial problems or the repeated registration bans it has faced in recent years, stressing that opening investigations into such files is a normal procedure.
💰 Investigation into Financial Files
Ghareeb continued by saying that Zamalek is subject to official authorities and that launching investigations into certain financial and administrative files is a normal and logical step.
He stressed that any money entering the club’s treasury is primarily directed toward paying outstanding player dues, while denying reports that the transfer fee from the sale of Hossam Abdel Meguid had gone to the account of a businessman.
