The Egyptian automotive market witnessed a new update as Ezz El Arab El Sewedy, the official distributor and manufacturer of Proton in Egypt, announced a price increase for the Proton Saga 2026 model by approximately EGP 50,000, reflecting ongoing shifts in local car pricing.

The company also introduced a new promotional campaign titled “Saga Premium 10 on 10,” which has been announced preliminarily without disclosing detailed information so far, sparking anticipation among consumers and industry observers.

The Proton Saga is powered by a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine featuring VVT technology for valve timing control, producing 95 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, with a top speed of around 165 km/h.

In terms of exterior design, the car features electrically adjustable side mirrors with integrated indicators and manual folding capability, along with halogen headlights and daytime running LED lights, complemented by aerodynamic styling elements that enhance stability and visual appeal.

Inside the cabin, the Saga offers practical features including a sound system with 4 speakers, USB ports for charging and data transfer, and a 7-inch infotainment screen supporting smartphone connectivity via Android Auto, along with a multifunction steering wheel for easy control.

The interior also includes an advanced air filter that helps reduce dust and improve cabin air quality, contributing to a more comfortable driving experience.

Regarding safety, the Proton Saga comes equipped with essential features such as dual airbags, ABS anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assist for emergency situations, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera to enhance parking convenience and overall safety.

As for pricing, the Saga Premium 2026 trim is priced at approximately EGP 650,000, with expectations that the recent increase and the new campaign will influence market dynamics and consumer interest.
