A fierce storm strikes the heart of Cairo, forcing a group of strangers to take shelter inside a small café in the middle of the city. Initially, it seems like just an ordinary night where everyone is escaping the bad weather, but things soon take a mysterious turn when an unidentified corpse is discovered inside the café. From here, the events of the series Prestige unfold, which is available on the "Yango Play" platform in 8 episodes, with two episodes released every Thursday.

The series is written by Engy Abu Saud and directed by Amr Salama. It relies on a closed-plot structure, where the crime traps all characters inside a café with no way out. As tensions rise, personal interests become intertwined, hidden secrets emerge, and each character tries to clear their name in an atmosphere of suspicion and fear.

Prestige falls within the suspense and crime drama genre, with the entire story taking place in a single location. The work brings together different generations of actors, including: Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Mostafa Gharib, Dina, Sami Maghawry, Alaa Sinan, along with special guest stars, most notably Ahmed Dawood.

In the first episode of the series, a sudden murder takes place involving the character "Tamer," a social media expert, played by Ahmed Dawood in a brief appearance. The murder, occurring during the storm, makes everyone inside the café a suspect, and a silent struggle begins among the characters to uncover the truth—or perhaps to hide it.

Director Amr Salama relies on intense visual atmosphere, with dim lighting to enhance the sense of mystery. The camera movement is designed to increase the feeling of confinement and anxiety. The editing has a balanced rhythm that allows the story to gradually escalate without feeling forced.

Critically, reviewer Mohamed Abdel Rahman believes that the series has taken on a challenging adventure by opting for the "crime comedy" genre, which is not common in Egyptian drama. He praises the creators' bet on ensemble acting, which added depth and richness to the variety of characters.

One of the most well-received characters is Ibrahim, played by Mostafa Gharib. A young man who tries to appear more successful than he really is, seeking to present an image of wealth despite his simplicity. As the plot develops, suspicions about him grow due to his tense behavior and constant attempts to justify his odd actions.

Prestige stands out by presenting complex characters, avoiding the black-and-white portrayal. Everyone carries a mysterious side, and everyone has motives that could make them a potential suspect. Through these interwoven layers, the series keeps the audience engaged, always guessing until the final moments.
