In an exclusive interview with Mona El Shazly, Qamar revealed that his journey began around 2016–2017, following a wake-up call from Mohamed Henedy, who told him, "Son, you’ll die!" and guided him onto a running track at the Shooting Club—marking the first step toward a healthier life.
He explained that he had already lost part of his weight during the filming of “X-Large”, as he wanted to avoid appearing overweight at the premiere, but faced significant setbacks in 2017 before regaining his focus and continuing steadily.
