Fluent in six languages, Zaki represents a new model of cultural diplomacy, blending academic excellence with international negotiation skills.
Born in Cairo in 1966, she graduated with honors in Egyptology from Helwan University and later earned her PhD in Egyptology and Ancient Civilizations from Lumière Lyon University in France.
Her career includes active engagement with UNESCO conventions, heritage protection efforts, and participation in international discussions concerning Egyptian artifacts displayed in institutions such as the Louvre Museum.
She previously served as Cultural Counselor in Italy and Director of the Egyptian Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, strengthening Egypt’s cultural presence in Europe.
In 2009, she was awarded the French “Chevalier” medal in recognition of her contributions to intercultural dialogue 🎖.
