رحمة أحمد تتحدث عن مسلسل "80 باكو" ونصائح عبلة كامل.

During her appearance on a TV program, actress Rahma Ahmed shared behind-the-scenes details about her participation in the series "80 Bako," which aired during the 2025 Ramadan season. She spoke candidly about various aspects of her artistic and personal life, including her feelings during the preparation for the show, the psychological challenges she faced in performing her role, and a special phone call she had with the renowned actress Abla Kamel. Rahma described Abla as a "motherly" figure and role model for all generations, and mentioned how she congratulated Rahma on her performance and offered her valuable advice, the most important being to diversify her roles and avoid being confined to a single type of character.

Rahma explained that the call from Abla Kamel came through the phone of actor and union head Dr. Ashraf Zaki, and she was deeply moved by Abla's motherly presence and the warm advice that came from her vast experience. Rahma expressed her gratitude for this support, especially as it came from an actress with a long and honorable career, adding that she strives to maintain humility and love in her interactions with everyone.

Regarding her role in "80 Bako," Rahma explained that the character marked a significant shift in her career, transitioning from the comedic roles she was known for to a more dramatic performance, filled with emotions, domestic violence, and despair. She said, "I was terrified because comedy is one thing, and tragedy is something completely different—either it works very well, or it fails miserably. Thank God, the reactions were amazing."

On the famous theft scene in the series, Rahma revealed that much of it was improvised, as the director allowed the actors to perform freely, giving the scene a sense of authenticity. She added that co-star Entisar was so intense in her performance that Rahma became fully immersed in the act, feeling as though the event was real.

Rahma also spoke about the preparation she did before filming, especially since her character worked at a popular beauty salon. She visited an actual salon in the Dokki area with her co-stars to train on hair styling, eyebrow shaping, and other realistic details. What surprised her was not only the practical aspects but also the deep human relationships between the workers and clients in that environment. She mentioned that the salon was full of stories and emotions.

As for the character of "Abeer" in the show, Rahma described her as a painful figure that reflects the harsh reality many women face in society. She pointed out that some women cannot divorce, despite being subjected to violence, due to financial dependency. Such roles leave a profound psychological impact on her, and she revealed that she broke down in tears after filming the theft scene, overwhelmed by the thought that many women live this painful reality. She added, "My mental state was shattered, and I cried alone in the caravan because I couldn't bear to imagine that these women are living like this."

Rahma emphasized her efforts to raise her son, "Mostafa," away from such painful scenes, noting that he had not watched scenes of violence. She stressed the importance of education in a person's life, stating that money is not the true measure of success, but rather knowledge. She said, "It's not important how much you have in the bank; the important thing is to have a degree because if you fall, you'll know how to start over."

On the topic of financial contributions between spouses, Rahma made it clear that she does not believe a woman should financially support her husband. She emphasized that the responsibility primarily falls on the father, though she would not mind helping her husband if he deserves it.

Rahma also discussed her concerns about certain behaviors from husbands, such as suddenly caring about their appearance or buying a new fragrance. She explained that women, by nature, have a keen intuition and can sense something is off. "There's no such thing as a 'silly woman'; a woman knows, even while sitting still. It's a divine feeling."

She spoke about the online backlash she faced for her role in the seventh season of "El Kabeer Awy." She was shocked by harsh criticism from online forums, which made her cry, but she later realized that this is part of the price of success.

Regarding the concept of "clean cinema," Rahma admitted that she does not understand this classification. She believes that an actor cannot judge their peers and firmly rejects condemning or evaluating others. She emphasized her respect for every artist, regardless of their choices, and stated that she would never position herself as a judge.

Rahma also expressed her displeasure over the criticism aimed at actress Riham Abdel Ghafour, calling her a talented and beautiful actress who did not deserve the attack she faced after her role in "Zolm El Mostaba." Rahma said, "I was really upset when I saw the criticisms; Riham is a real artist and gives something substantial."

As for the issue of crediting names in the titles of films and shows, Rahma clarified that it is not something an actor can control, as it is determined by agreements with production management and the artistic vision.

Rahma also revealed her recent struggle with depression and poor mental health, which affected her appetite and led to weight loss. She explained that some people mistakenly thought she had undergone a sleeve gastrectomy, but in reality, she only lost the weight she gained during pregnancy and breastfeeding, without any medical intervention.

Rahma Ahmed's conversation was filled with spontaneity and honesty, reflecting the image of an artist who does not shy away from her emotions and is open about sharing her full experience with her audience. Her statements showed that she is not just a talented actress but also a genuine person who approaches acting with a sense of human responsibility and intellectual thought, believing that acting is a message before it is a means of fame or success.
