Actor Roshwan Tawfiq shared details about the final moments in the life of the great artist Samihah Ayoub, who passed away this morning at the age of 93, praying that God grants her vast mercy.

Roshwan Tawfiq said he woke up early in the morning to discover the news of "Madam Samihah’s" death, noting that she had been a support and encouragement for him in his early artistic career. He added, “I was at her home yesterday, and her condition seemed somewhat normal, but she had sworn to stop eating and drinking for a while, as if she sensed her farewell was near. Despite that, she remained smiling and cheerful until the last moments.”

He denied rumors that her death was due to cancer, explaining that the family confirmed to everyone that news of her illness was an unfounded rumor, and that she passed away peacefully at home without prolonged suffering.

He also revealed funeral arrangements, mentioning that her grandson announced on his Facebook page that the prayer will be held today after Asr prayer at the Police Mosque, and her body will be buried with an atmosphere filled with sorrow and respect for her artistic legacy. Roshwan expected many of her old colleagues and fans to attend her farewell, confirming her high status in their hearts.

Roshwan Tawfiq concluded by saying, “Samihah Ayoub was not just an artist, but a school of commitment and respect for the audience. She taught us how to love theatre and how to work with passion and dedication. Today, we miss a bright face, but her memory will remain alive in the hearts of her fans.”
