As part of the ongoing security operations by the Ministry of Interior targeting criminal elements, and in continuation of its efforts to dismantle sources of illegal arms and drug trafficking, security forces successfully apprehended two highly dangerous individuals in the governorate of Suez. The suspects were found in possession of a cache of firearms, bladed weapons, fireworks, and narcotics, which they were allegedly preparing to distribute within the jurisdiction of the Faisal Police Department.
The General Security Sector, in coordination with the relevant authorities, had received precise and confirmed intelligence indicating that the two suspects—known for their criminal activity—were involved in the illegal trade of unlicensed firearms, as well as the distribution of knives and fireworks, using the densely populated area as a cover for their illicit movements.
An elite task force was immediately formed to closely monitor the suspects, gather intelligence, and confirm the reports. After securing the necessary legal authorizations, the security team executed a highly coordinated raid on the suspects' location.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the two individuals and the seizure of a mini arsenal, including a shotgun and two homemade firearms, ten bladed weapons, a substantial quantity of dangerous fireworks intended for sale, and a stash of hashish prepared for distribution.
