If you've forgotten your iPhone's lock screen passcode, don’t panic — there are three official methods to unlock your device:

Method 1: Use "Erase iPhone" on the Lock Screen (iOS 15.2 and later)

After several failed attempts, the "Erase iPhone" option will appear.

Tap it, enter your Apple ID credentials, and confirm the erase.

The phone will be reset and ready to set up again.

Note: Internet connection is required. All data will be erased.

Method 2: Erase via iCloud using Find My iPhone

Log in to your Apple ID on any browser.

Select your device in "Find My iPhone".

Click "Erase iPhone".

After the reset, you can set up the device again.

Note: This method only works if the device is online.

Method 3: Use Recovery Mode with a Computer

Connect your iPhone to a Mac or PC.

Enter Recovery Mode:

iPhone 8 and later: Quick press Volume Up → Volume Down → hold the Side button.

iPhone 7/7 Plus: Hold the Side and Volume Down buttons.

iPhone 6s or earlier: Hold the Home and Power buttons.

Open iTunes or Finder, and select "Restore" to reinstall iOS.

Important: This method erases all data unless you have a backup.

Post-Recovery Tips:

Restore from iCloud or iTunes if backup exists.

If not, the data cannot be recovered.
