The competent investigative authorities have decided to refer the defendant, known in the media as Nour Tuffaha, who gained notoriety for posting dance-related content on social media platforms, to criminal trial. She faces a number of serious charges related to publishing video clips and visual materials deemed indecent and contrary to public morals and proper societal conduct.

According to the case file, the defendant deliberately filmed these videos, exposing sensitive parts of her body in a manner that violates public values and morals, with the intent of sparking controversy and attracting as many followers and viewers as possible — ultimately to generate financial profit via online platforms.

Sources revealed that the defendant admitted during investigations to the charges brought against her, acknowledging that she was aware her behavior was unacceptable, but claimed she was driven by a desire for quick fame and financial gain through high viewership and associated advertising revenues. She also stated that she managed her social media accounts herself and intentionally published provocative content to attract attention and engagement.

The General Department for the Protection of Public Morals, part of the Specialized Police Sector, had been monitoring the defendant's activities following reports and information about a woman residing in the Giza Governorate publishing unethical online content in clear violation of the law and public decency. Upon intensifying investigations, the information was confirmed, and her accounts across various social media platforms were tracked, revealing content that was deemed indecent and promoting moral corruption.
Accordingly, law enforcement took the necessary legal measures and successfully located and arrested the defendant within the jurisdiction of the Al-Ahram Police Department. During the arrest, a mobile phone was found in her possession. A technical examination of the device by the competent authorities uncovered a large number of video clips that confirmed her involvement in the alleged actions. These clips contained inappropriate scenes that were deliberately filmed and published, violating laws regulating the use of social media.

Initial investigations confirmed that the primary purpose of posting such material was to seek financial gain through views, given the financial returns offered by some digital platforms — even for content that contravenes societal values and norms. Based on the defendant’s confessions, technical reports, and security investigations, it was decided to refer her to criminal trial on charges related to public indecency, publishing immoral content, and exploiting digital platforms for activities criminalized by law.
