Al-Azhar Ruling on Using Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research
Al-Azhar clarified that AI can be used as an assisting tool in scientific content creation, provided that information is verified and properly attributed.
Al-Azhar issued a statement clarifying the ruling on using artificial intelligence in scientific research, confirming that it is permissible when employed solely as an assisting tool to collect and organize information. The statement emphasized that the researcher must be capable of conducting the research independently without full reliance on AI, and should remain the primary contributor by verifying the accuracy of information, attributing it to its original sources, and properly arranging and presenting it.
Al-Azhar warned against using AI to generate content entirely and claiming it as one’s own without real effort, describing such practice as deceitful, misleading, and false, leading to the weakening of human intellect and risking scientific plagiarism and misinformation.
The statement also highlighted that AI serves two main purposes: a technological purpose, achieving tasks in new ways, and a scientific purpose, assisting in answering questions about humans and living beings. The ruling reaffirmed that the default in using any new technology is permissibility unless its harm outweighs its benefits.
Regular health screening is one of the most important steps to maintain good health and detect diseases early. The essential medical checkups for every age help in preventing complications and ensuring a healthier life.
Many people, after doing medical tests, receive their results and immediately start looking at numbers and unfamiliar terms like (High – Low – Normal) without fully understanding what they actually mean.
When dealing with medical services, many people come across different titles for doctors such as “Specialist” and “Consultant”, which can sometimes create confusion about what each title actually means and how they differ from each other.
Choosing the right time to visit a doctor is not a random decision. It can directly affect how quickly a condition is diagnosed and how effective the treatment will be. Many people delay visiting a doctor or go at the wrong time, which may lead to worsening symptoms or delayed care.
