A new study shows that eating carrots can improve sleep quality, support cell regeneration, and stimulate digestion. According to Times Now News, individuals who consumed more fruits and vegetables during the day experienced better sleep at night.
Nutrition expert Remy Joman noted that better sleep is linked to following overall healthy dietary patterns, rather than relying on a single food. Nonetheless, carrots contain antioxidant compounds called carotenoids, including alpha-carotene and beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A. A deficiency in this vitamin has been associated with sleep disturbances.
Furthermore, carrots are rich in dietary fiber, and studies in 2016 found that fiber-rich diets are linked to deeper and higher-quality sleep. Therefore, incorporating carrots into a daily diet can naturally promote restful nights and overall health.
