Authorities at Al-Haram Police Station arrested blogger Israa Abu Hammoud, owner of Dream Makers for overseas study, following multiple complaints alleging she defrauded citizens by promising study grants and overseas work opportunities in exchange for money, which she did not deliver.
Investigations revealed that several victims claimed Abu Hammoud collected funds under the pretense of sending them to European countries for study or work, but she failed to fulfill her commitments and refused to return the money.
The police also confirmed that she had receipts proving the financial transactions with the victims, prompting legal action against her.
