Cairo and Fayoum Authorities Seize Millions of Fireworks in Trafficking Bust

Cairo security authorities arrested a resident of Menoufia Governorate for trafficking fireworks, confiscating approximately 2 million pieces of various shapes and sizes. The suspect admitted to possessing the fireworks for distribution and stated he obtained them from another individual in Qalyubia Governorate.

Separately, Fayoum security forces seized another individual owning two fireworks shops after investigations revealed a workshop producing fireworks for sale. Over one million fireworks pieces were confiscated, along with manufacturing tools and equipment.

These operations reflect ongoing efforts by security agencies to prevent illegal trade in fireworks, ensuring public safety and mitigating potential hazards associated with their distribution.
