The Egyptian Economic Court announced today that it has reserved the case of blogger “Om Mekka” for judgment on November 26, in connection with charges of publishing and broadcasting videos deemed indecent and violating public morals on social media platforms.
Investigations revealed that the defendant profited financially from the content, prompting authorities to refer her to court on charges of violating public decency laws and money laundering derived from her online activities.
During questioning, “Om Mekka” denied all allegations, asserting that her videos were intended solely for entertainment and attracting viewers, without any intent to offend or breach public morality.
