During the trial of the drug manufacturing case, the defense attorney for one of the defendants raised objections to the credibility and legality of the investigations conducted by Officer Mohamed Mohsen.
Lawyer Khaled El-Zaafrani argued that the investigations were largely desk-based, lacked proper monitoring of the defendant, and relied solely on an anonymous source and statements from another defendant. No evidence confirmed the defendant’s involvement in the alleged criminal network.
The defense emphasized that the investigations violated the legal requirements outlined in Article 21 of the Criminal Procedure Code and requested the court to invalidate the arrest warrant and all subsequent procedures executed under Articles 126 and 130.
