The 15th defendant appeared before the court in the drug manufacturing case involving several defendants, including Sara Khalifa, and completely denied any relation to the seized narcotics.
He stated before the judge: “I swear I never saw the drugs and never carried them. I am an engineer and my son is a doctor,” stressing that he is innocent of all charges.
The defendant added that he had purchased a car two weeks before his arrest and was surprised to find the seller with him in the transport vehicle, considering this circumstance suspicious.
The court also heard the testimony of the 14th defendant, who said: “I have no connection to this case and I know nothing about it,” denying all accusations.
The defense team argued for the annulment of arrest and search orders, citing contradictions in the investigations and the failure to submit all seized items for technical examination.
They questioned the legal basis of the arrests and pointed out shortcomings in identifying how the drugs entered the country.
The defense requested acquittals, nullification of procedures, and exclusion of electronic searches exceeding legal limits.
On the other hand, the prosecution read the referral order, confirming that investigations proved the provision of locations and equipment, exchange of messages and funds, and suspicious movements supported by recordings, seizures, and laboratory reports.
The session ended with defense demands to reassess the evidence pending upcoming decisive hearings.
