TikTok blogger Hadeer Abdel Razek filed a lawsuit at the Administrative Judiciary Court, First Circuit for Rights and Freedoms, through her lawyer Dr. Hany Sameh, case number 9125/80, demanding her immediate release after about two months in detention.
The lawsuit relies on presidential pardon regulations, allowing release after serving two-thirds of the sentence, with conditional release after half the term under the Correction and Rehabilitation Centers Law.
The case is part of TikTok-related legal issues, where the Court of Appeal on November 5 convicted Hadeer Abdel Razek in an economic misdemeanor, acquitting her of half the charges, with a one-year sentence related to “family principles and societal values.”
