The village of Kafr Shibin, in Shibin Al-Qanater, Qalyubia Governorate, witnessed a tragic incident after driver Hamed Ahmed Zayed was fatally stabbed while trying to intervene in a dispute between his relatives and a thief.

His wife recounted: "On the day of the incident, my husband was watching a wedding from the rooftop. When he came down, he saw his cousins running. He called one of them, who told him they had caught a thief."

She continued: "He went down to see what was happening, and instead of handing the thief to the police, they tried to settle it traditionally. Then the thief’s brother came with some men, started shouting, and suddenly the thief stabbed my husband with a knife in the stomach."

The wife added: "He was transferred to Benha University Hospital where doctors performed surgery, but the stab had cut his intestines and an artery. He suffered for 8 days before passing away."

She further explained that the suspects filed a false report to escape punishment, saying: "My husband was a peaceful man, never involved in disputes, but sadly he was killed unjustly."

In her closing words, she demanded justice: "I want fair retribution. My husband died, and my children are now orphans with no support."
