A Prayer for Those Feeling Mentally and Physically Exhausted
Mental and physical exhaustion can weigh heavily on the soul. Here are heartfelt prophetic prayers that bring peace, strength, and emotional relief in times of distress.
Many people go through periods of mental and physical exhaustion, feeling drained by the challenges of life. True peace, however, is found in turning to God through remembrance and prayer, for He alone can turn restlessness into calm and fatigue into serenity.
When feeling overwhelmed or emotionally tired, recite this beautiful supplication:
“O Allah, take care of me among those You care for. O Allah, show me the wonders of Your power in easing my affairs. Allah is sufficient for me; there is no god but Him. Upon Him I rely, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne. O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help—rectify all my affairs and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.”
For those burdened with sorrow or distress, say as Prophet Yunus (Jonah) said:
“There is no god but You, Glory be to You; indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.”
And also:
“O Allah, I hope for Your mercy; do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye, and rectify all my affairs. There is no god but You.”
The Egyptian Fatwa House recommends maintaining constant remembrance and seeking forgiveness, stating: “Whoever feels hardship should seek forgiveness, for Allah will grant relief, open doors, and bless him with unexpected provision.”
According to the Quran, frequent istighfar (seeking forgiveness) brings:
Relief from sorrow and distress.
Increase in sustenance and blessings.
Protection from calamities and hardship.
As Allah says:
“Ask forgiveness of your Lord; surely He is Ever-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance, and increase you in wealth and sons, and make for you gardens and rivers.” [Surah Nuh 10–12].
Through remembrance, supplication, and forgiveness, the heart finds peace and the soul regains its strength.
