Morning Remembrances – The Awakening of the Soul with a New Dawn

Each morning, the soul rises with the remembrance of Allah, as light shines within the heart just as dawn breaks across the sky, filling the day with peace and blessings.

When the veil of night is lifted and the first light of dawn pierces the horizon, the soul returns to life by the mercy of its Creator. The believer greets the new day with remembrance, gratitude for the gift of life, and a plea for protection from the slips of the coming hours. Thus begins the morning — with breaths of faith and the light of serenity.

1. Supplication upon waking from sleep:
“All praise is due to Allah, who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.”

2. After performing ablution upon rising:
“I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner or associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
O Allah, make me among those who constantly repent and among those who purify themselves.”

3. Upon wearing clothes after waking:
“All praise is due to Allah, who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any power or might on my part.”

4. When leaving the house in the morning:
“In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no power nor strength except through Allah.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I go astray or be led astray, slip or be caused to slip, wrong or be wronged, act ignorantly or be treated ignorantly.”

5. Morning supplication after Fajr prayer:
“O Allah, by You we enter the morning, and by You we enter the evening, by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.”

6. Reciting Al-Ikhlas and Al-Mu’awwidhat in the morning:
“Say: He is Allah, the One.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.”
(Recite three times for daily protection.)

7. Supplication for sustenance and blessings:
“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.”

8. Tasbeeh at the break of day:
“Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him — as numerous as His creation, as pleasing to Him as His satisfaction, as heavy as His Throne, and as vast as His words.”

9. Closing morning remembrance:
“O Allah, make this day a witness for us and not against us; begin it with goodness and end it with Your pleasure. Fill our hours with Your remembrance and light, and let our hearts be assured that You are with us in every moment of life.”
