Post-Prayer Supplications – Nourishment of the Heart After Worship

When a worshipper ends the prayer with “Salam,” the connection with the Divine does not cease; rather, it transforms into a journey of remembrance that revives the heart and fills it with light. The end of prayer becomes a continuation of closeness between the servant and his Lord — serenity flowing into the soul after the bowing and prostration.

1. Seeking Forgiveness After the Prayer:
I seek Allah’s forgiveness. I seek Allah’s forgiveness. I seek Allah’s forgiveness.
O Allah, You are Peace, and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor.

2. Remembrance After the Prayer:
There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent.
O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the fortune of the fortunate avails nothing against You.

3. Glorification and Praise:
Subhan Allah (33 times),
Alhamdulillah (33 times),
Allahu Akbar (34 times).
Then complete it with:
There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent.

4. Supplication of Gratitude:
O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.

5. Reciting Ayat al-Kursi:
Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
(Al-Baqarah: 255)

6. Reciting the Three Quls After Each Prayer:
Say: He is Allah, the One.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.

7. Supplication After Prayer:
O Allah, accept our prayers, forgive our sins, bless our time, make us among those who guard their prayers and remember You standing, sitting, and lying on their sides.

Closing Supplication:
O Allah, make our prayers a light within our hearts, guidance along our paths, and a means of attaining Your pleasure and forgiveness. Grant us serenity that accompanies every act of humility and prostration. 🌿
