Dar Al-Iftaa Reveals the Secret Behind People’s Love for Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi
Egypt’s Dar Al-Iftaa affirmed that Al-Sayyid Ahmad Al-Badawi is among the righteous saints of God, whose light and legacy continue to fill hearts with faith. The institution described him as a scholar, jurist, and man of deep spirituality who earned divine acceptance and eternal reverence.
In an inspiring statement, Egypt’s Dar Al-Iftaa declared that Al-Sayyid Ahmad Al-Badawi, may Allah be pleased with him, was one of God’s chosen saints — a man whose life embodied knowledge, humility, and devotion. He followed the Shafi‘i school of jurisprudence and was known for his mastery of Qur’anic recitation and his dedication to teaching and guiding others toward righteousness.
The statement explained that his influence spread from Morocco to Egypt, where he settled in the city of Tanta. With his arrival, the city flourished into a spiritual and scholarly hub that drew seekers of knowledge and faith from across the Islamic world. The Ahmadi Mosque became the heart of this enlightenment — a place where recitations of the Qur’an echoed day and night, and where scholars and mystics gathered in reverence and unity.
Dar Al-Iftaa noted that generations of scholars, historians, and jurists unanimously praised Al-Badawi’s virtues, recognizing him as a symbol of piety and scholarship. His legacy became so beloved that many parents named their children after him, hoping to bless them with a share of his light.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that such love and reverence are divine gifts, reserved for those truly close to God. As the Qur’an declares:
“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds – the Most Merciful will bestow for them affection.” [Maryam: 96]
Al-Sayyid Ahmad Al-Badawi remains a beacon of faith and purity, his name living on as a symbol of divine grace and spiritual strength through the ages.
