In contrast, Dar Al-Ifta warned that riba (usury) is any condition that requires an increase over the principal loan amount, which is strictly forbidden by scholarly consensus due to its exploitative nature and harmful impact on both individuals and society.

The statement concluded that true blessing lies not in interest-based gains but in lawful earnings and charitable giving, referencing the Quranic meaning that Allah destroys interest-based wealth while blesses charity, urging adherence to ethical financial practices that promote justice and mercy.
