خطبة الجمعة عن خطر التنمر ودعوة إلى الرحمة والاحترام بين الناس

The Ministry of Awqaf has dedicated today’s Friday sermon to address the critical issue of bullying and its harmful effects on individuals and communities, highlighting the need to build a balanced and compassionate human being — emotionally, ethically, and socially.

This comes as part of the ministry’s nationwide initiative “Correct Your Concepts,” a program aimed at reforming negative behaviors and misconceptions that threaten social harmony. The initiative reflects the ministry’s ongoing commitment to promoting moral integrity, social cohesion, and psychological well-being among citizens.

According to the ministry, the focus on bullying stems from the growing need to confront verbal, physical, and psychological violence that has seeped into schools, workplaces, and even families. Islam, as the sermon emphasizes, rejects all forms of aggression and humiliation, calling instead for mercy, gentleness, and mutual respect among all people.

The sermon reminds worshippers that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a model of compassion, never mocking or belittling anyone, and that true strength lies not in dominance or ridicule, but in restraint and kindness.

Preachers across Egypt were instructed to emphasize that bullying is a moral disease that erodes community trust and distorts the spirit of brotherhood that Islam seeks to nurture. The sermon further highlights that social media has amplified the reach and harm of bullying, turning what was once private mockery into public humiliation — a sin that bears grave consequences.

Additionally, the Friday message encourages parents and teachers to guide children toward empathy and respect, teaching them that real courage is in helping others, not in hurting them. It also calls for the community to stand united against mockery, exclusion, and hate speech in all its forms.

The initiative “Correct Your Concepts” continues to prove its strength as a national effort to heal hearts and reform behavior through awareness, compassion, and enlightenment — not judgment or harshness. It stands as a moral call to every citizen to embrace the values of respect, patience, and kindness that form the cornerstone of a truly civilized nation.
