A growing number of Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold owners have reported the sudden appearance of a red question mark on their screens, dubbed the “deadly question mark.” This alarming symbol often indicates a critical system or display failure that could render the device completely unusable.
The Issue Explained
The error typically occurs during startup or right after a software update. It signals an internal malfunction, either within the foldable display mechanism or the system boot process. Some users reported that their devices froze and failed to restart even after multiple attempts.
Google’s Clarification
According to Google’s technical support, the question mark signifies that the device has entered a “protective mode” after detecting a serious fault. The company strongly advises against attempting manual repairs or opening the phone, and instead urges users to contact official service centers immediately to preserve warranty coverage.
