28 Countries Confirm Participation in Egypt International Para-Badminton Championship
The Egyptian Badminton Federation, headed by Dr. Hadia Hosni, announced that 28 countries will participate in the 3rd edition of the Egypt International Para-Badminton Championship for athletes with special abilities, to be held in the New Capital from January 13 to 18.
The participating countries include: USA, Canada, Democratic Republic of Congo, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, France, Belgium, Austria, Wales, Greece, India, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Netherlands, Nigeria, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, and the host nation, Egypt 🇪🇬
Dr. Hadia Hosni highlighted that the tournament is classified as "Grade 2" by the International Federation, a remarkable achievement despite the event being relatively new. She also emphasized Egypt’s focus on empowering people with disabilities and integrating them effectively into society.
The previous edition saw 135 players from 20 countries compete, with the Egyptian national team winning 17 medals: 3 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze 🏅
