Al Ahly is just a few hours away from kicking off its historic 10th appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup, participating in the tournament’s first-ever 32-team edition, hosted by the United States.

The Egyptian giants will begin their campaign with a highly anticipated clash against Inter Miami, the host nation’s representative, in the tournament’s opening match. The game is scheduled for the early hours of Sunday at 3:00 AM Cairo time, and will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida.
This match marks Al Ahly’s fourth encounter against a host team in the Club World Cup, with the Red Devils boasting a perfect record in such fixtures — having won all previous matchups.

The first came in the 2012 edition, when Al Ahly defeated Japan’s Sanfrecce Hiroshima 2–1 in the quarterfinals. They repeated the feat in 2021 in Qatar, overcoming Al Duhail with a 1–0 victory. In 2023, during the tournament in Saudi Arabia, Al Ahly continued their dominance over host teams by beating Al-Ittihad 3–1 in a commanding performance.
