Zamalek is close to finalizing the renewal of playmaker Abdallah El-Said’s contract, with the official announcement now only a matter of time — especially as the player’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season and no new deal has been signed yet.

According to informed sources within the White Castle, the club’s management has reached a final agreement with the player to extend his contract for one additional season. The deal includes an option for a further one-year extension, contingent upon
The agreement was facilitated by Zamalek’s new sporting director, John Edward, who played a key role in narrowing the gap between both sides — particularly regarding the contract duration and financial terms, which had posed the biggest hurdle. The parties ultimately settled on a financial package that satisfies both the club and the player, with Abdallah El-Said set to earn around 25 million EGP per season. This amount represents a middle ground between Zamalek’s initial offer of 15–20 million EGP and the player’s opening demand of 35–40 million EGP.

The contract is expected to be signed within the coming days, after which an official announcement will confirm Abdallah El-Said’s continuation with Zamalek for another season. The club’s technical staff is keen to retain the veteran playmaker due to his vital role in orchestrating the midfield and his wealth of experience.

This move aligns with Zamalek’s broader strategy to maintain the team’s core squad, especially after recently clinching the Egypt Cup title against Pyramids FC — a triumph that restored stability to the team and paved the way for their participation in the Arab Club Champions Cup.
