🔴 Al Ahly Prepare Changes to Foreign Player List
Media personality Abdel Nasser Zidan has revealed reported plans within Al Ahly to restructure the club’s foreign-player list ahead of the January 2027 transfer window.
Speaking on the “Stad Masr” program on Modern MTI, Zidan said the club is considering several changes to its foreign-player group based on the team’s needs for the next stage of the season.
He said: “Al Ahly are restructuring their foreign players before the winter transfer window.”
💰 Raza Slim Could Be on His Way Out
Zidan also claimed that there is an agreement within Al Ahly regarding the potential departure of Moroccan winger Raza Slim during the January transfer window.
He said: “There is an agreement at Al Ahly to sell Raza Slim in January 2027, while Achraf Dari is still under evaluation.”
Zidan added that Al Ahly have set a reported asking price of $500,000 for Raza Slim and are waiting for offers for Achraf Dari as the club evaluates its options.
🇹🇳 Al Ahly Set to Negotiate with Mohamed Cristo
Zidan also discussed the situation involving Tunisian player Mohamed Cristo, claiming that Al Ahly plan to begin negotiations with him in the coming days over a potential mutual termination of his contract.
He said: “Al Ahly will begin negotiations with the Tunisian Mohamed Cristo within days to terminate the contract by mutual consent.”
Zidan explained that the club does not want to terminate the contracts of foreign players unilaterally, in order to avoid being required to pay the full financial value of their agreements.
📋 Possible Change to Loan Policy
Zidan further revealed that Al Ahly are considering changing their policy regarding foreign players who are sent out on loan.
He said: “Al Ahly are moving toward no longer covering the salaries of any foreign player who is loaned out in the future.”
According to Zidan’s account, the potential change would form part of a broader review of how the club manages its foreign-player group from both the sporting and financial perspectives.
⭐ At Least One New Foreign Signing Targeted
Regarding incoming transfers, Zidan said Al Ahly’s football department is targeting the signing of at least one foreign player during the upcoming transfer window.
He said: “The football department is seeking to sign at least one foreign player, and the candidate is likely to be a midfielder.”
According to the information presented by Zidan, Al Ahly’s January plans could therefore involve the departure of some foreign players, further assessment of others and the addition of a new overseas player to strengthen the squad.
