After announcing his withdrawal from the position of football director, Abdel Wahed El-Sayed decided to enter the upcoming elections at Zamalek Club by running for board membership, a move that confirms his desire to continue being part of the White Castle.
Abdel Wahed began preparing himself for the elections, benefiting from his extensive experience within the club. Meanwhile, the Zamalek Board decided to utilize his capabilities by appointing him as Deputy Supervisor of the Youth Sector, in an effort to strengthen the sector that represents the club’s future.
The board also discussed ways to bring Abdel Wahed El-Sayed back to Zamalek TV as part of a plan to develop the channel and benefit from his media expertise.
Previously, Abdel Wahed had formally apologized to the board for not continuing in his role following the departure of the Portuguese coach José Peseiro. The board accepted his apology but insisted on making use of his experience in other areas within the club.
